Perplexity
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
This game was made and designed as part of the Show-Off Project in CMGT at Saxion University.
This is a split screen, co-op, puzzle game, where the goal is to escape. The main gimmick is that puzzles require the players to use the split screen in order to gain a new perspective on the challenge. Players will get to explore and escape three unique levels that will take them through different stages in the Internet's development. The chaos in each environment is representing the digital swamp that has engulfed the Internet.
There is also a Player Detector system that uses Arduino. Different actions are triggered depending on whether only one player or both players swap. You can press comma to disable it, so you can play without it.
To play you will need to plug in two controllers - preferably Xbox, but any controller will work, but the UI will be wrong.
